Children in grades PreK – 8th can sign up for a 10 minute reading session with Hank, a certified therapy dog. Reading will take place in our Youth Program Room. A fun way to practice reading aloud, and a great stress reducer if you love cute canines. Hank is visiting on Monday, Feb. 2nd Time slots are at 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, and 4:15. Sign up at the circulation desk or call 207-854-0630 to make a reservation.

Kids' Crafternoon! Make some cards to give away! Perhaps for an upcoming holiday...? 3:30-4:30pm in our Youth Services Program Room.

​The Locker Project is coming to Walker Memorial Library! They will be bringing free, fresh food for anyone to take home. They will be at Walker every First and Third Thursday of the month from 11am-12pm starting on September 11, in our Youth Services Program Room. Upcoming visits: Oct. 2, Oct. 16, Nov. 6, Nov. 20, Dec. 4, Dec. 18​

Every first Friday of the month from 3-4:30pm, bring your knitting, crochet, needlework, etc. and come sit and stitch with us! You don't have to show up right at 3pm. Come anytime between 3-4:30pm for crafting and conversation. This is not a class, but a group for crafters of all ages to meet up and spend time together, or just to enjoy crafting in our historic wing. Child crafters are welcome, but ages 8 and under must be with an adult.

​The Locker Project is coming to Walker Memorial Library! They will be bringing free, shelf-stable food for anyone to take home on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Food will be available to take from 11am-12pm (after storytime) in our Youth Services Program Room. Upcoming visits: Feb. 12 and Feb. 26

Learn how to play the Pokémon card game, or just have fun crafting and hanging out with other Pokémon fans! Come to any or all of the club meetings! Club meetings are every 2nd and 4th Thursday and Saturday of the month (as long as the library is open). Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm and Saturday from 1-2pm. For ages 5 to 18. Ages 8 and under must be with caregiver.

Silly science: Eyes! Learn a bit of science and have a lot of fun with us! Geared to ages 5 - 10 but open to everyone.

30 Minute Meals: Whether you’re a busy parent, a college student, or just a person on the go, join a Hannaford Dietitian to learn how to fill your freezer, pack your pantry, and scope the shelves for foods that make meal prep quick and easy without skimping on your health goals. Program will be held in our historic wing.
